Open the App & Get Your Code
🍎 On a Mac
Open Finder and click Downloads in the sidebar.
Double-click Acronis Cyber Protect Quick Assist.
If you see "App downloaded from the internet" — click Open. This is normal and safe.
The app shows you a code. Tell that code to David over the phone.
🪟 On Windows
Open your Downloads folder.
Double-click the installer file to run it.
Click Yes if Windows asks for permission.

Allow Permissions on Mac
macOS requires two permissions before David can see and control your screen. Here's exactly how.
A) Allow Screen Recording Required
Click the Apple menu (🍎) in the top-left → System Settings
Go to Privacy & Security
Click Screen Recording
Find Acronis Cyber Protect Quick Assist and turn the toggle ON
If it asks to Quit & Reopen — do it
B) Allow Accessibility Required
System Settings → Privacy & Security
Click Accessibility
Find Acronis Cyber Protect Quick Assist and turn the toggle ON
If prompted to Quit & Reopen — do it
C) Still not working? Common Fix
Close the Quick Assist app completely (right-click dock icon → Quit)
Re-open it from your Downloads folder
Go back to Privacy & Security and re-check both Screen Recording and Accessibility are ON
Your privacy is fully protected.David can only see and control your screen while the app is open and you've shared the code. You can end the session at any time by closing the app or restarting your computer. Nothing is recorded or stored.
