When You Call Mac a Wish, You Get Me.

I'm David — a Portland-area Apple consultant, dad of two boys, and the only person you'll ever deal with at Mac a Wish.

When you send a message, I respond. When someone shows up at your door, it's me. When you text three weeks later with a follow-up question, I'm the one who answers. There's no team, no call center, no technician you've never met. Just me — which is exactly how I want it.


Why I Started This

I spent seven years at Apple, working my way up to Lead Genius at Apple Retail. It was a great run. I learned an enormous amount — not just about the technology, but about people and how they relate to it.

What I kept seeing, over and over, was this: people had real problems that a 15-minute Genius Bar appointment couldn't solve. They needed someone who would sit with them. Explain things clearly. Not make them feel behind or embarrassed for not knowing. Actually follow through.

So in 2011, I left Apple and started Mac a Wish — built around exactly the kind of service I wished more people could get. Fifteen years later, many of my clients have been with me the entire time.


More Than Just Tech

I'm a dad first. I have two boys who keep me grounded and remind me what actually matters.

That shows up in how I run my business. I treat every client the way I'd want someone to treat my own family — with patience, honesty, and real care for getting it right. Not just fixed for now. Actually right.

A lot of my clients are parents, grandparents, small business owners juggling a lot. Some are seniors who just want their computer to work without feeling talked down to. They've told me that seeing a photo of me with my kids is part of why they called. That means a lot to me.
